In the UK people generally prefer to own something rather than rent/hire it. Be it homes, cars, white goods or tools, the same principle is true of shipping containers. We generally make these decisions based on multiple factors often around duration of use, if you are going to use the item until the end of its useful life or you wish to upgrade every 3/4 years. Also financial factors are in play, can you afford to buy it outright? if not that’s where renting a container could work.
How does renting a container work?
It’s exactly the same as hiring or renting anything. We require ID and a utility bill to confirm your identify and billing address. We might do a credit check on a businesses just to confirm financials. We require 1-months rent up front as well as transport both ways. Once this is done we arrange the container delivery and set up a monthly invoice that will be emailed to you for payment.
Whats the cost of hiring a shipping container?
It depends on the location as with purchasing but this will give you an idea of the cost of hiring certain containers. Prices are subject to change. We have a minimum 3-month rental period

Can I buy the container that I am hiring?
That’s the beauty of the agreement, once the container is in place and being used, you might decide that your financial situation has improved or that you plan on having the container for longer than expected. When the agreement is signed we let you know what the purchase price will be, we will deduct the prepaid transport cost to have the container returned from the purchase price. You will then stop receiving invoices once its paid.
